A must read for today's facility managers!

Facility Management has changed rapidly the past few years in meeting national and global demands. In order to help building owners meet their Triple Bottom Line, that is the pursuit of financial, social, and environmental responsibilities, the facility manager of today must transparently integrate sustainable practices and products into almost everything they do. Learning and implementing sustainable actions, and more importantly knowing how to measure the effectiveness of these actions in meeting the organization’s Triple Bottom Line are presented in this book. Both Chris Hodges and Mark Sekula have many, many years of solid, practical field experience in the facility management profession. Their expertise in sustainable facility management is presented in a clear and straightforward manner. It is a must read for both new and seasoned facility managers!

Having worked in the sustainability arena for many years, I've found that there are always more questions to be answered. "Sustainable Facility Management' goes a long way in filling in many of the gaps in my knowledge. Ranging from topics that explain simple concepts, to complex challenges such as carbon footprint disclosure and organizational strategy, this book will be of value for those just trying to understand sustainability and for the more seasoned veterans. It goes beyond Facility Management: it is a strongly recommended reference for any professional working in the built environment as well as any senior executive wrestling with this new component of Corporate Social Responsibility.
